Uhtco Cat's Claw Liquid Extract, 130ml

UHTCO Cat's Claw Details

Cat’s Pro® Liquid Cat's Claw Extract with a concentration of 10:1 (10 kilos to make 1 litre) is made with 100% wild Uncaria Tomentosa from the Amazon Rain Forest of Peru, carefully selected to avoid mixing of species, and manufactured following traditional production methods.

Cat's Claw or Uña de Gato, is a woody vine that comes to us from the exotic highlands and jungles of the Amazon Rain Forest of Peru.   Considered a sacred botanical by the local Indians, this vine grows wild in the  highlands of the Peruvian Amazon in South America.

Ashaninca Indians have used both, the bark and roots of the vine for generations to treat numerous health problems, targeting the immune and digestive systems in particular. Peruvian tribal folklore describes decoctions or teas made from Uncaria Tomentosa vine and their extraordinary ability to treat tumours, soothe arthritis, ease gastric upsets and boost immune system.

Benefits

U. tomentosa has several groups of plant chemicals that account for most of the plant's traditional uses and applications. The most studied one is a group of oxidole alkaloids that has been documented with immune-stimulant and anti-leukemic properties. Another group of chemicals called quinovic acid glycosides have documented anti-inflammatory and antiviral actions. Antioxidant chemicals (tannins, catechins and procyanidins) as well as plant sterols (beta-sitosterol, stigmasterol, and campesterol) account for the plant's anti-inflammatory properties. A class of compounds known as carboxyl alkyl esters found in cat's claw has been documented to have immunostimulant, anti-inflammatory and cell-repairing properties.
